Have just finished reading The Whitby Trap and both Scravir books. There is a cheaper bookshop in Whitby opposite the Whitby bookshop. I used to go in regular and come out with bagful of books as I read a lot to my disabled son (he’s 49 by the way). The man in the bookshop told me of these books and I went across and bought the (actually managed to have one of them signed by Christian while he was there. These books are absolutely amazing. I don’t think my son could understand it all but he kept repeating all their names etc and really enjoyed story time. When we came to the end I went “Aww, it’s finished”. Many thanks to the man in the shop for recommending these. I think he said once that he was in the process of proofreading Scraper II. A big thank you to Christian for writing these books. They were very different to our usual books and I probably wouldn’t have bought them if they had not been recommended. AND…….. it has been so good not to read Thomas the Tank Engine for the thousandth time (even though they are good).
Thank you for you comment, Claudene. We are delighted that you love the Scravir books and the Whitby Trap. You will be pleased to learn that the writing of the third Scravir book is well under way. We are aiming to publish in time for this Autumn’s Goth Weekend!
